Candace Hines is a multi-talented, well-rounded, gifted young lady who is the creator and founder of U & Music Meet. Born in Miami, FL to Jamaican parents, she understood the importance of exposure to diversity, the arts, cultures, and various industries while being spiritually grounded. As a musician, Candace learned the piano at the age of 5. She picked up her first drumsticks in church at the age of 9. By the time she was sixteen, she was playing the soprano saxophone and then joined the concert band in high school where she played 2nd chair alto sax.

 

Candace was always a go-getter and very competitive. She was in gifted classes from fourth grade all the way through high school. In high school, she took Advance Placement classes and was even inducted in the Spanish National Honor Society two years in a row. As a drummer, she has played for several South Florida churches, and toured with the gospel choirs at Florida A & M University (her alma mater) and University of South Florida.

 

After relocating to Atlanta in 2009, Candace discovered new opportunities in education,  film, modeling, and music. She pursued substitute teaching and started her own tutoring company while completing her Master degree in Public Administration, concentrating in Non-Profits at Keller in 2012. Her ambition and drive was for giving back to the community and creating opportunities for the youth through mentoring and education. She is an actress in film and television.  She has appeared in "The Preacher's Kid" (Warner), Tyler Perry's "The Haves and The Have Nots" (OWN),  "Necessary Roughness" (USA Network), and "Anchor Man 2" (Paramount). She currently has a recurring supporting role in the comedy web series, "The Complex Web Series" (4CornersTV/Shines Productions), playing "Riri".

 

In December 2013, Candace was the featured drummer to open up the fashion show for "Rock The Runway on Black Ice", a celebrity charity event to benefit the CETA Foundation. She also appeared on the runway modeling fashions from celebrity designers.

 

Candace Hines was also a guest drummer for the Black Women in Jazz & Fine Arts Awards in May 2014 in Atlanta, GA.

 

Most recently, Candace was offered and accepted a seat on the Board of Directors with the Bright Path Youth Foundation, a non-profit that serves at-risk youth, which she currently serves as the Education Committee chairman.

 

Candace Hines is the owner of Time2Achieve Tutoring Services, a  freelance grant researcher, mentor,  visual artist, musician, and model.   Candace Hines is a freelance drummer and plays on stage with numerous celebrity and professional musicians at local Atlanta venues and area churches. She lends her time to mentoring youth, community She gives credit to God for all of her talents and gifts.
